Your screen takes
the direct route.
FoneStream sends approved screen capture and motion directly between the phone and desktop over your local network. There is no account requirement, cloud storage or public relay.
Pair with intent
A short-lived, one-time pairing code connects the companion to the intended receiver. The companion pins the desktop certificate; pairing alone does not start screen capture. The operating system asks you to approve capture separately.
Trust stays on your computer
The desktop stores trusted-device descriptors and hashed authentication material in an encrypted local store. Companions use Keychain or Keystore-backed storage. Revoke trust in Devices to disconnect that phone and require fresh pairing.
A private output
OBS output uses an authenticated loopback service on the same computer. Its URL contains an access token. Keep the full URL off stream and out of logs. Regenerating it invalidates existing sources.
Stop at any time
Stop from your phone’s capture indicator or notification, or disconnect from the desktop. Recordings save only to the destination you choose.
Report a security concern
Follow the project’s security reporting policy. Do not post pairing codes, output tokens, recordings or private logs in a public issue.
Read the privacy notice for details about data and storage.
