Capture belongs to you.

FoneStream does not include analytics, advertising, telemetry, crash uploads, accounts, public relays or cloud recording storage.

During capture

Approved screen video, permitted optional audio, motion, display geometry, device model, OS version, battery level and connection-quality data travel between your phone and paired desktop. Authenticated OBS viewers receive data over loopback on the same computer.

Camera and video references

Add camera requests local camera video without microphone audio. The muted preview helps you position the phone relative to yourself. Camera and local video-file references are not forwarded to OBS or included in FoneStream recordings. Removing the camera source stops its tracks.

Local storage

The desktop retains encrypted trust information. Companions retain a certificate pin and device token in protected storage. Recordings are written to a path you choose. Revoke devices and regenerate output tokens from the desktop.

This website

The website loads its fonts and demonstration assets locally and sets no tracking cookies. Release information is included in the site build. Following links to GitHub or a future app store is subject to that service’s policy.

The public website is hosted on Railway and delivered through Cloudflare. Hosting providers may process technical request information to serve and protect the site; FoneStream does not add visitor analytics or tracking cookies.

Building from source

Package managers and CI contact their registries during installation and builds. The running application does not send captured content to those services.
